Karma is a Bitch! Literally

Today's topic is a rare occasion because its main focus is boys. We feel that most girls can relate to being lied to, betrayed, or treated poorly by a guy that they like. So we came up with the top-five rudest things guys have said to us or our friends. Partly because it is funny now, and partly because it is nice to know that boys say mean things to everyone, not just you.

So here they are in order of least offensive to most painful:

5. "I'm just not looking for anything serious"
    - Ok, well then you should go put your own dick in your own butt-hole and see how you like it... rock      on, I'm going to get a soda.

4. Any snide comments about what I am wearing are unnecessary, "your jacket looks like a horse's skin" "is that your grandma's rug your wearing?" "where's the rodeo?" "hey there cavewoman!"... just be quiet, you look prettier that way.

3. "You're not strong enough."
-If I was strong enough to date you then I am strong enough for anything.

2. "I kiss you because I feel responsible"
    - Seriously you have to laugh to keep from crying.  If a girl likes you at all, even just a little, a kiss is important. Do not ever, under any circumstances tell her that the only reason you kiss her goodbye, hello, or ever, is because you feel responsible.

1. The Jack Rabbit.
-This is the silent dis. If you are a guy and you are reading this and you don't know what it means than you are definitely doing it. Sex is supposed to be fun... not a porno, figure it out. Literally most painful.

Sexy Time with "Hey Girl"

What makes a guy sexy? Ryan Gosling has sexy down to a tee, and here's why...

If you are reading this blog you probably first fell in love with RG when you saw The Notebook. He played the brooding, loyal, and loving man who built an entire house just to bring the love of his life back to him. Blah blah blah, although that is super sexy, it is also super 40’s. In the 21st century Ryan has reinvented sexy by supporting the equality of women and the struggles that are imposed upon them in today’s society.

The “feminist Ryan Gosling blog” http://feministryangosling.tumblr.com/ gained popularity (close to 20,000 followers) after he was quoted saying, “it’s misogynistic in nature to try and control a woman’s sexual expression of self. I consider this an issue that is bigger than film” in an interview regarding the MPAA’s rating of the movie Blue Valentine. Upon hearing this, the Hey Girl meme began.

So we have come up with the top five reasons why we love RG:

5. Look at him
4. He is funny, AND smart (watch an interview of him, any one will do this statement justice)
3. He’s Canadian... we all know what that means, O canada!
2. His shirtless scene in Crazy, Stupid, Love... yes he looks photoshopped
1. Any man who wants all women (including his own) to succeed as an equal, and is willing to go to bat for it, is obviously extremely confident; confidence… not cockiness, is sooooo damn sexy!

There are many more Hey girl sayings and photos on the website posted in the article, so go look at them and it will make your day!

Your dresses should be tight enough to show you're a woman and loose enough to show you're a lady - Edith Head

As I was getting dressed to go to a nice dinner with my parents the above quote from Edith Head ran through my mind. So I decided to wear a form fitting, fully covered ensemble. It was an attempt to display what little ASSets I have been blessed with.

The first post of this blog is dedicated to Edith Head, a women who embodied class, brains, and style, in a time when women were not embraced in the working world. Basically she was the shit. Edith received a bachelors degree from UC Berkeley and a masters from Stanford… with honors.

Before dominating Hollywood as a costume designer, she was a French teacher (whoever said “those who can, do, and those who can’t, teach” had never met Edith Head.) Among her credentials lies eight Academy Awards with thirty-five nominations. Her designs graced the shoulders of the best actresses of her time (1945-1976) including; Carmen Miranda, Katherine Hepburn, Ginger Rogers, Loretta Young, Bette Davis, Elizabeth Taylor, Doris Day, Rita Hayworth, Sophia Loren, Natalie Wood, and Grace Kelly (to name a few)… omfg.

In the late 1970’s (making her approximately 80 years old) Edith was commissioned to design a woman’s uniform for the United States Coast Guard. She was quoted saying it was one of the highlights of her career (even though she was a native of Prussia). This woman personified everything I admire in a fashionista. She carried herself with poise, and achieved greatness with all odds against her. I salute you Edith, shall all women live by your wise words. Thanks for the inspiration.
